Sadness is a hand-tufted wall-hung textile sculpture of the Inside Out character who taught us that feeling it is part of healing it. Soft blue, gentle presence, and more depth than she gets credit for, rendered in plush fiber with the care she deserves. For the collectors, the feelers, and anyone who’s learned to let Sadness have her moment.
Artist Notes: I made Sadness because she’s the one who always gets overlooked, in the film and in real life. But she’s the one who makes connections possible. The soft blue tones felt right; nothing harsh, nothing loud. Just quiet, honest feeling in fiber form. This piece is for the spaces where you let yourself be human.
