The Basics
Everyday Care in Five Simple Steps
Vacuum Gently
Use low suction or a handheld upholstery attachment.
Spot Clean
Use mild soap, a damp cloth, and as little moisture as needed.
Skip the Washer
Do not machine wash, dry, soak, or aggressively scrub.
Watch the Sun
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to help reduce fading.
Protect the Shape
Avoid heavy stacking, compression, and pulling loose fibers.
Care by Placement
Different pieces need slightly different attention.

- Dust lightly with a soft brush or low-suction attachment.
- Use hanging hardware appropriate for the piece and wall type.
- Avoid damp or highly humid display areas when possible.
Desk, Altar & Tabletop
- Reposition occasionally if one area receives regular pressure.
- Keep drinks, oils, lotions, candles, and spill risks away.
- Lift the piece rather than dragging it across rough surfaces.
Plush & Functional
- Spot clean gently and reshape by hand as needed.
- If a yarn tail appears, snip carefully rather than pulling.
- Use floor-placement pieces only as intended and avoid heavy daily foot traffic unless designed for it.

Every KAT piece includes one complimentary maintenance refresh. If your piece needs fiber grooming, reshaping, or a light carving touch-up, contact KAT before attempting a deep clean at home. Shipping or transportation to and from the studio may still apply.
