Over time, plush fibers may settle or flatten, especially in pieces that are loved, displayed, and lived with daily. The KAT Artist Refresh Service restores the sculptural texture and shape of your Functional Fiber Art piece, bringing it back to its original dimensional beauty.

This service is performed by the original artist; the same hands that made your piece are the ones that restore it.

What the Service Includes

  • 🧶 Fiber grooming: restoring plush and pile to its original softness
  • 🌫️ Debris and dust removal: gentle deep cleaning of the fiber surface
  • 🔺 Shape resetting: returning the piece to its original sculptural form
  • ✂️ Light carving correction: restoring definition to carved edges and contours
  • 🔍 Structural inspection: checking backing, edges, and hanging hardware for integrity
✨ To protect the integrity of the fibers, each piece may receive a maximum of two refresh services during its lifetime. This ensures the yarn and carving are never over-worked.

  • Pieces showing fiber flattening from display or light use
  • Pieces needing texture restoration after long-term display
