🧹 How to Care for Your Piece

Fiber art is not a rug, and it doesn’t need to be treated like one. A little gentle care goes a long way:

  • Vacuum gently using low suction or a handheld attachment. Never use a beater bar.
  • Spot clean only mild soap and a damp cloth. Never soak, submerge, or machine wash.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve the depth and vibrancy of the yarn colors.
  • Avoid high-traffic areas unless your piece was specifically made for floor use.
  • For plush items (pillows, purse charms, keychains) light spot care only.
  • For wall-hung pieces dust lightly with a soft brush or low-suction vacuum attachment.

Shipping timelines depend on whether your piece is ready to ship or being made to order. Here’s what to expect:

In-stock pieces are packed and shipped within 2–5 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your piece is on its way.

Made-to-order pieces typically take 3–6 weeks depending on complexity and current queue. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

How much does a custom piece cost?
Pricing depends on size, detail, and carving style. Typical ranges:
  • Minis: $85–$150
  • Medium pieces: $150–$275
  • Large/detailed work: $300–$450+
Every custom request receives a personal quote before I begin — no surprises.
Can I wash my fiber art?
No machine wash — ever. Spot cleaning is best: a soft cloth, a tiny bit of mild soap, no harsh chemicals, and no soaking. For a deeper clean, reach out and I’ll walk you through the safest approach for your specific piece.
Can I walk on my piece?
Some pieces can be placed on the floor in low-traffic areas — meditation spaces, bedrooms, sacred corners. But these are fiber art first. They’re not built for daily foot traffic and shouldn’t be treated like a traditional rug.
How do I hang a wall piece?
Most wall-hung pieces come with a hanging rod or sleeve. Use a sturdy wall hook rated for the weight of the piece. If you’re unsure, reach out and I’ll advise based on your specific piece.
Can I request a sold-out piece?
Yes! Browse the Past Creations collection and reach out to commission a remake. No two pieces are ever identical, but I can recreate the spirit of any past work.
What if my piece arrives damaged?

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes — you can pick up your piece at Pop-Up & Grow in Waldorf, MD every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM–6PM at 2925 Festival Way.
