The Ancient Technique

• Warm Garments: Tufting has ancient roots. It was initially used to craft warm garments, especially mittens. Picture mittens with short U-shaped loops of extra yarn peeking through from the outside.
• Inward-Pointing Loops: These loops, once introduced through the fabric, point inward. On the outside, they form a regular array of “dots,” sometimes in contrasting colors.
