The Artist Behind the Thread
Hi, I'm Danyel — a Black lesbian fiber artist, anime lover, and the creative force behind Kreative Artisan Threads. Every piece I make is carved, tufted, and sculpted with intention. My work blends Afrocentric soul, abstract flair, and a soft touch of Boys’ Love whimsy. This isn’t just rug-making. It’s fiber art painting — storytelling through texture, built to be touched, prayed on, gifted, and loved. From prayer mats and altar cloths to wall hangings and purse charms, each piece is hand-tufted using hypoallergenic yarn and bold color palettes that speak to identity, joy, and power.
